Die 2007 gestartete e24 AG erwirbt die Mobile Payment Geschäftssparte von der mobile solutions ag. Damit wird das Zürcher Jungunternehmen nach eigenen Angaben zum Marktführer im Mobile Payment Bereich in der Schweiz.

Paper.li launches a new tool

Beta testing for the Paper.li Nomad has officially ended and now the Nomad is available for all Paper.lis on the newsstand. With Nomad it is possible to embed paper.li newspapers in other websites. The Paper.li team considers the tool as a base for a premium product.

The 4th Startup Camp Switzerland will take place in Basel on 18th February 2012, 10.00 to 17.00. In the last years the Camp brought together nearly 200 young and future entrepreneurs.

PregLems first drug on the way to the market

PregLem receives positive opinion by the European Medicines Agency for its lead product Esmya for the pre-operative treatment of uterine fibroids (myomas). Subject to approval by the European Commission, PregLem, the wholly owned subsidiary of Richter, is expected to receive in early 2012, a marketing authorization for Esmya valid for all European Union Member States.

Dacuda vereinfacht den Kundenkontakt für Sunrise

Sunrise hat seit einem Jahr eine Entwicklungspartnerschaft mit dem Schweizer ETH Start-up Unternehmen Dacuda. Diese Partnerschaft trägt nun Früchte: Sunrise wird ab Sommer 2012 eine innovative Scanner-Lösung am Point of Sale einsetzen können. Die Scan-Maus von Dacuda soll um eine neue, ausgefeilte Pass- und ID-Erkennung erweitert werden, um die Datenqualität am Point-of-Sale zu erhöhen und Betrugsfälle zu reduzieren.

Webrepublic AG: Team im Jahr 2011 verdoppelt

Die Zürcher Agentur für digitale Kommunikation schaut auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr 2011 zurück. Seit dem Umzug in die Mühle Tiefenbrunnen im Januar dieses Jahres konnte die 2009 gegründete Webrepublic ihr Team auf aktuell 20 Online Marketing Spezialisten verdoppeln.

Slowdown in Venture Capital Investments since summer

The November issue of the European Technology Venture Capital Bulletin sums up the development of investments in 2011 and attempts an outlook on 2012. The corporate finance advisory firm Go4Venture has noticed a slowdown since summer – even if the total value of transactions will be higher in 2011 than in 2010. For 2012 the firm expects fewer and smaller investments.

Climeworks AG Closes Series A Financing Round

The ETH Spin-off company Climeworks AG announces the closing of its series A financing round amounting to CHF 1.75 million. Climeworks is commercializing a highly efficient technology for CO2 capture from ambient air. The proceeds will be used to finance Climeworks’ product development and to launch first products on niche markets.
