The Swiss-Colombian Academia-Industry Training (AIT) Camp is organised by the Centro Latinoamericano - Suizo at the  University of St.Gallen, State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), ICETEX and Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.

The Academia-Industry Training (AIT) program helps ten selected Swiss sciencepreneurs transform high-level applied research into market applications and helping them enter foreign markets.  The program allows participants to advance their business plans, establish contacts with industry, clarify intellectual property issues, network at an international level, and foster new partnerships and collaborations.​ The startups from Switzerland, Brazil and Colombia will travel to the respective countries.

30 Swiss startups will be chosen in total: 10 will go to Brazil, 10 to Colombia, and 10 to Mexico. Each cohort will compete for an Innovation Grant of CHF 10,000 that will be award to the most promising research projects/startups to support market application and internationalisation efforts.

Criteria

The program is meant for Master or PhD students, PostDocs, and researchers from Swiss universities, Universities of Applied Science, and research institutes as well as centers of technological excellence with research track-record working on a non-profit basis.
