Opened in partnership with two leading global food brands, Barilla and Lavazza, this call addresses innovative startups in food retail.

 

In partnership with Barilla and Lavazza, the FoodTech 2023 is a startup call looking for shoppable marketing solutions in the Food & Retail industry. We are scouting for unique B2B and B2B2C startups / scaleups that excel in intercepting customer behavior and driving successful conversions across multiple channels and generations of shoppers.

Winners will have the opportunity to explore a Proof of Concept with Barilla and Lavazza.

SCOUTING CATEGORY: SHOPPABLE MARKETING

Solutions that empower brands and retailers to intercept consumer behaviors, meet their needs, and elevate their shopping experiences, resulting in higher marketing return and increased conversions across multiple channels and diverse generations of shoppers. Specifically, the FoodTech 2023 is scouting for innovative startups in the following areas:

  • Seamless Shoppable Content Creation: Create content that guides customers through product discovery and purchasing journeys, catering to different habits (e.g., smartworking) and generations (e.g., Gen Z).
  • Generative AI for Targeted Content: Utilize generative AI to efficiently create and repurpose targeted content, maximizing its reach and impact.
  • Advanced Customer Behavior Analysis & Recommendations: Leverage dynamic solutions that combine shopping and behavioral / neuroscience data to analyze customer preferences, predict needs, and provide real-time recommendations.
  • AI-driven Personalization: Use analytics and AI-powered engines to personalize products, services, and experiences, integrating data from multiple sources such as retailers, external datasets, external events, and customer interactions.
  • Optichannel Shopping Enablers: Embrace shopping enablers across media, optimal touchpoints, and emerging channels to connect with customers wherever they are, support purchasing decisions and monitor results.
  • Omnichannel Live Shopping Solutions: Explore cutting-edge solutions that facilitate live shopping experiences, integrating multiple channels for an immersive and interactive customer journey.

Criteria

WHO QUALIFIES?

We encourage applications from mature B2B and B2B2C startups / scaleups that:

• Are in revenue

• Have credentials and a client portfolio

• Have a structured team

• Have a solution that falls into the scouting category

 
Early-stage startups do not qualify.
