Our industry partner L’Oréal R&I Open Innovation is looking for pioneering cross-sector technologies that can revolutionize the cosmetics industry and create new partnerships with promising startups!
We are looking for startup technologies that address the key challenges on the following areas:
- Sustainable Materials, including wide range of biobased small molecules or polymers (eg proteins, enzymes, polysaccharides, oils, waxes…) with for instance (and not limited to) film-forming, adhesive, surfactant, encapsulating functionalities.
- Biological actives or bio-diagnostic could be related to microbiome, anti-ageing and more globally skin care.
- Innovative processes such as biotechnology, fermentation, synthetic biology, extraction should be sustainable, follow green chemistry principles and possibly be circular to minimize the impact on the environment.
- Cleantech, that addresses water management at home, in hair salon, etc.
- Agritech that encourages sustainable and regenerative agriculture, that can monitor the impact on the environment (e.g. soil, water, biodiversity, CO2)
- Hardware / software solutions that would diagnose skin / hair condition or bring supra performance with energies, personalization, and the precision of application in association with formula/products.
