Flybotix' ASIO drone

The United States market provides immense opportunities for Swiss startups. Daphne technology, Neopredix and Flybotix are some of the most recent showcases, aiming to gain proximity to customers and expand their footprint in the continent.

Spearheading the battle against methane emissions, Daphne technology developed a proprietary technology to reduce emissions from difficult-to-abate sectors. One of its solutions SlipPure™ substantially reduces methane emissions in the exhaust of natural gas-fuelled engines (aka “slip”). SulPure also provides a post-combustion solution that not only reduces toxic SOx emissions but also produces valuable fertiliser. Daphne has come closer to the US market by establishing a new subsidiary. This move aligns with tightening US regulations, marking a pivotal step in our mission to make a tangible impact on reducing pollution. The expansion comes with the appointment of a distinguished industry expert, Jamie Brick, who will lead operations from the heart of the North American energy sector, Houston, Texas. As the ambassador of Daphne Technology in the US, Brick's responsibilities encompass a wide range of initiatives, including supporting our SulPure®H2S-to-AS demonstrator deployment, aiding in current fundraising efforts to tap into the approximately $65 billion in available US government support, identifying potential gas pipeline companies for a SlipPure™ field demonstration in North America, and leading the establishment of manufacturing operations within the United States.

Neopredix has also established its NeoPrediX USA Inc. subsidiary, with first customer deals signed. The Swiss startup is working on a new generation of clinical decision support software to personalize and optimize neonatal care. Its flagship product, NeoPrediX B.1 transforms clinical data into scientifically validated forecasts to improve the speed and accuracy of clinical decisions. By identifying the risk of newborn diseases early, clinicians can make more informed care decisions for the millions of babies born each year. This supports the initiatives around optimizing workflows, length of stay and delivering precision healthcare to each individual patient, advocating for patient safety, and reducing costs to both hospitals and patients.

For Flybotix, a newly onboared Vertex Unmanned Solutions will help distribute Asio drone, the startup’s indoor drone boasting better fight-time, empowering clients to perform streamlined, safe and cost-effective inspections in confined spaces. In addition to ASIO pro solution with the drone unit, the flight app and the post-processing software ASIO Explore, Flybotix is further developing on the cloud to offer SaaS services to enable a truly plug-and-play software for inspection and maintenance of assets.
