Following a week of exchange, training, and pitching, the AIT India committee has awarded Irmos technologies and Peroviska each CHF 10000 for their outstanding solutions. Three other startups have also won awards in Germany and Switzerland.
Academia Industry Training (AIT) India is a Swiss-Indian entrepreneurship program enabling startups to translate their scientific ideas into a business. In November last year, eight startups with ideas in biotech, cleantech, engineering, and medtech joined the program, benefiting from exchanges with Indian industry experts and profit from various events. The program concluded with the AIT Swiss Camp in Lausanne. Startups had the opportunity for the entrepreneurs to compete for two grants worth CHF 10,000 each. The jury selected two winners: Panagiotis Martakis of irmos technologies, a startup that aims to revolutionize the maintenance and preservation of existing buildings and bridges with real-time, AI-powered assessment of structural conditions, and Anand Verma of PEROVSKIA SOLAR, which innovates solar technology with digitally printed, customizable solar cells made for OEMs.
PrecisionED – SIK Innovations-Preis 2023
The jury of the SIK Innovation Prize 2023 has selected the preparedEPA Assessment System as the winner of its fourth competition round. Founded in 2020, preparedEPA Assessment System brings competency-based medical education to life by allowing supervisors to assess and document the actual competencies of trainees and foster meaningful feedback conversations.
Aixigo & Wecan Group
Swiss fintech startups Aixigo and Wecan Group have won WealthBriefing Swiss Award in the category “most innovative client solution and Data Provider, respectively. The Swiss WealthBriefing Awards recognise outstanding operators in Swiss wealth management. Founded in 2019, Aixigo developed the world’s fastest API-based wealth management platform for investment advisory, portfolio management, portfolio risk management, portfolio analysis and portfolio monitoring. The platform, equipped with over 100 digital services, delivers constant trend-setting and added-value innovations to aixigo’s customers and their savings and investment customers. aixigo’s international customers include Bank Vontobel, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank and Hargreaves Lansdown.
The Wecan Group built the Wecan Comply platform to simplify the hundreds of daily interactions between banks and independent asset managers, reduce the workload related to all compliance processes, and ease information sharing in real-time. The solution enables cost savings on compliance management – estimated between 35 and 60 per cent for banks and asset managers.
