routeRANK Receives Zurich Climate Prize

The Zurich Climate Prize supports sustainable projects and honours implemented plans. In doing so, Zurich promotes the dialogue relating to the topic of climate change. Projects that make an effective contribution to reducing CO2 emissions, improving energy and resource efficiency or resulting in behaviour changes are awarded. The Zurich Climate Prize focuses on the three categories of housing, consumption and mobility.

The expert jury selected routeRANK’s Total Trip Management achievements because, unlike other solutions, the online platform searches and combines the various means of transport with a comprehensive view. This allows routeRANK to not only calculate the cheapest and quickest route, but also that with the lowest CO2 emissions. The jury also recognises, in particular, the fact that routeRANK creates transparency in regards to CO2 emissions of business travel. This makes it an interesting tool for companies.

routeRANK is a young Swiss company which was founded in 2007 by Jochen Mundinger. The company is based in Lausanne. The company has won several awards before.
