The Swiss start-up eskiis.com announced today the launch of its visual social media platform eskiis.

Under the slogan "Sometimes a word, a picture or a sound cannot explain - eskiis can" eskiis is now available online and as a free Android app. An iPhone version, for which you can already register online, is coming soon.

Until now we used, despite the digital revolution, paper and pen for capturing ideas and emotions, to explain complex subjects or simply to pass the time. With eskiis we can do this now digitally and the possibilities are wide. Be it from the graffiti artist who bombs now his tags in social networks, the cartoonist who publish his work online, the child who cannot write but sends a message to his mother, the architect who wants to briefly hold of something on the spot, or just the fast scribbled heart to your great love.

With eskiis this is all a breeze. It is based on a minimalistic and simple design, there is no cluttered interface with features you would hardly ever use. Just draw with a pressure sensitive, black marker and share with a single click instantly in a fast, beautiful and fun way with friends in all the relevant social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Google+. That’s it. If desired, the visual messages can also be saved in the cloud on DropBox and Google Drive.

„We came up with the idea one day when we realized there are Social Media Platforms where we can take and share images (Instagram, Pinterest), send short messages (Twitter, Facebook) or exchange sound-snippets (Soundcloud), but there is no easy way to share visual messages, like scribbles, in a simple and fun way. On the other side, since the dawn of mankind, scribbles are the most important form of universal communication. Regardless of language, education or age, everyone understands them“, says Andreas Lorenz, founder and CEO of eskiis.

Beginning today, anyone can register online at eskiis.com and secure his username (before it is taken) and download the app at Google play

More features, based on usage patterns and user feedback, are already in the works and will follow in the coming weeks.
