Tinynode has launched a car detector for outdoor parking. It allows the integration of on-street parking spaces into traffic management systems. 26 parking areas at French highways are now equipped with the solution from Lausanne.

A large-scale project is now achieved with the installation of Tinynode vehicle detection system on several parking areas of VINCI Autoroutes. A total of 26 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) parkings of service areas of French A7, A9, A10, A20, A46 and A63 highways are now making use of Tinynode’s wireless vehicle detection system.

Tinynode vehicle detection system is coupled with Variable Message Signs (VMS) allowing truck drivers to plan their compulsory rest breaks on service areas where free parking spaces are available. IT allows them to avoid resources and time waste, which leads to an improved safety on service areas.

Tinynode was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the company Shockfish. Tinynode is based in Lausanne
