Smart Home Technology’s solution reduces the standby power of electronic devices to zero. In the last weeks, the ETH Zurich spin-off has won several awards and was selected for a number of accelerator programs.

Standby power can consume up to 25% of the total electricity of a household. The solution of Smart Home Technology is a patent-pending power supply, which will be installed inside appliances during production process. This technology reduces the standby power to zero. Moreover, it increases energy efficiency up to 3000 times and helps a household to save 130 kg CO2 and 200 CHF every year. Based on the projections of the start-up, potential orders in Switzerland alone will be at least 22 million devices.
