Three Swiss startups among the winners of the Stevie Awards

The Stevie Awards are a well-known, world-wide business awards program. This year, the award received entries from more than 60 nations and territories. Among the winners are MySky, Yerra Solutions and Sherpany.

A record total of more than 3,900 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on 21 October.

 My Sky, the Swiss company specialized in business aviation financial control since 2015, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie Award in the “Startup of the Year - Business Services Industries” category and the winner of a Silver Stevie Award in the “Tech Startup of the Year - Services” category. Today the company acts as an independent expert in private aviation that empowers jet owners across the globe by providing them with a revolutionary financial controlling and benchmarking tool to optimize time and money spent on their assets.

Christopher Marich, Global Strategy Director and Co-founder, My Sky, added: “Winning Gold one year after bronze shows that our product and our company have evolved in a very positive way and is a very important milestone in My Sky’s development. Earlier this year we have announced our rebranding, and in autumn we are launching the second release of our system with even more innovative and useful features for private jet owners. We also have ambitious plans on geographical expansion, and this international recognition will obviously be an added value to our unique proposition”.

Yerra Solutions was named the winner of a Gold Stevie Award in the Company of the Year (Legal Medium-Sized) category. The company's Founder & CEO, Rajitha Boer, was additionally named the winner of a Silver Stevie Award in the Woman of the Year category. Yerra, founded in 2013, serves the operational and technology needs of in-house legal & IP, eDiscovery and compliance organizations. The company's offerings include consulting, managed services and technology solutions. Yerra is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland with offices in the UK, US, Singapore, Hong Kong and Poland.

Yerra's revenue growth, global office expansion and the development of an innovative solution for intellectual property are a few prime examples of the company's accomplishments leading to this award. Rajitha Boer's leadership and focus on strategic development and corporate social responsibility were important factors in her winning Silver in the Woman of the Year category. Her leadership has resulted in the company's financial growth and operational success.

Sherpany won a silver Stevie Award in the mobile sites and apps category. The company is the leading European provider of digital boardroom solutions delivering its service to some of Europe’s largest companies. With our technology, we transform decision-making of Boards to enable better decision making at a lower time-cost.

In the category apps, the Sherpany Boardroom 3 received excellent feedback in regards of a focused and clear design, very high user friendliness & a rich feature set. “Being honoured by this award comes hand in hand with our ambition of building award winning software, loved by our users,” says Tobias Häckermann, CEO of Sherpany.

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated on 12 juries.
