Aviation pilots test AVAtronics and KEEPEARS quiet earbuds on Earth

Lausanne-based startup AVAtronics launched the first and only true wide-band Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in the market, capable of selectively cancelling all unwanted noises without compromising the quality of music or speech. The technology applies to many products in the audio industry, including stereo headphones, earbuds and speakers.

KEEPEARS, on the other hand is located in Allschwil (BL), develops, designs, manufactures, distributes and maintains hearing solutions for extreme environments, especially civil and military aviation. For air applications, its hearing systems dedicated to flying crew prevent any risks of hearing loss while ensuring perfect and optimal intelligibility in air operations. They also improve the human performance and comfort of pilots in flight operations.

Combining their technologies, the two companies have launched personalized earbuds, which professional pilots, aircrew and land people will test in real operational situations.

Now, using amazingly well-designed and personalized devices of KEEPEARS, we are happy to enable KEEPEARS to provide individuals who are working in extreme noisy environments with a comfortable hearing protection device which can reduce the noise level by at least 30dB and up to 55dB at all frequencies higher than 100Hz. AVAtronics is now running several major partnerships with market leaders in the supply chain of the TWS industry which will result in a fair market share in this industry for AVAtronics and its partners. The startup has also opened its Round A of financing, expected to be closed in Q1/2023.
