Business Angels Switzerland enters its 10th year of existence in Suisse romande

Business Angels Switzerland started its activities in Suisse romande back in March 2007. Under the initiative of one of the Zurich chapter members, Jean-Pierre Rosfelder, together with Pascal Dutheil and Eric A. Favre and the impulse of Caroline Gueissaz (Director of BAS in Suisse romande), an important player in the support of early-stage start-ups was born.

The nine years track record of BAS Suisse romande, a non-profit association, has been impressive. The business angel club now counts 53 active members who have done 44 investments - with an average of 6 per year over the past 5 years. The cumulated amount invested in the first rounds is CHF 6.6 Million. The follow-on investments are of the same magnitude. The members themselves execute all due diligence work. BAS sees itself as one of the most active, versatile and entrepreneurial Business Angels associations in Switzerland.
