Through a private token sale, CasperLabs has secured USD 14 million from multiple investors and contributors. Casperlabs Holdings AG is registered in the Canton of Zug. The company plans to launch the Casper Network early next year.

The Blockchain startup CasperLabs is building a new smart contract platform to be implemented as a new permission-less, decentralized, public blockchain. The consensus protocol is built on the correct-by-construction (CBC) Casper work.

Early this year, CasperLabs was listed among the CV VC Top 50 crypto startups that are creating jobs in Switzerland. The startup, with a Zug-based CasperLabs Holdings AG, employees over 40 employees worldwide including four team members in Switzerland, as reported in the first half-year CV VC Top 50 report. Its members of the board of directors include Ralpf Kubli, director at CV VC.

CasperLabs has now closed its USD 14 million private validator token sale led by crypto fund Digital Strategies. The private token sale included participation from multiple investors such as ZB.com/ZB Global, Gate.io, Consensus Capital, Cluster Capital, HashKey Capital, AU21 Capital, Blockchange Ventures, GSR, QCP/QSN,  RockTree Capital, Stake.Fish, Chain Capital, Sora Capital, Wavemaker, Ropart Asset Management, Waterdrip Capital, AGE Fund, Woodstock Fund and Oasis Capital. Dozens of other funds and individuals also made their contributions.

The funds will enable CasperLabs to accelerate the development of the Casper Network, a proof of stake public blockchain optimized for easy developer onboarding, smart contracts performance, and enterprise integration. In March, the company launched its first public incentivized testnet Zug500. Ahead of launching the network, the startup aims to reach two further critical milestones: to go-live with the Casper Delta testnet this month and to launch the Casper Network mainnet in Q1 2021. The latter achievement will be accompanied by a public sale of Casper’s native token.

“We are grateful for and humbled by the support, innovation, and excitement we’ve received from leaders across the blockchain ecosystem. This achievement for our team brings us one step closer to launching Casper, the most advanced and easiest to use public blockchain in the world,” as expressed by Medha Parlikar, CTO and Co-Founder at CasperLabs.
