The F10 innovation ecosystem for Fintech and Insurtech has bigger ambitions. After securing capital in the mid-single-digit million range from external investors and the leadership team through a management buy-in, the organisation plans to expand its geographical reach and launch a seed fund to fuel startup growth.

F10, the leading innovation ecosystem for FinTech and InsurTech, with hubs in Switzerland, Singapore, and Spain, aims to create the future of finance by accelerating tech startups, and connecting them with big business, investors and industry experts. Since its inception in 2015, more than 200 tech startups have participated in F10 programs, both at the early and growth stages, and attracted more than USD 280 Mio. in funding.

Today the organisation announced the closing of a new funding round in the mid-single-digit million range. Five T Fintech led the financing round supported by Synpulse, Christian Frahm, Founder and CEO of United Fintech, ON-POINT, and further investors. In addition to external investors joining, the F10 executive leadership team commits to the future of the F10 by taking a stake in the company in the form of management buy-in, making F10 an independent and self-funded company. SIX, a founding partner of F10, will hold a minority stake.

The organisation will use the funds to grow into new geographies and in its current hubs in Europe and Asia. The growth provides F10 corporate partners early access to startups selected across all global programs and its global network of partners, startups, investors, and increased deal flow and collaboration support.

A new Fund to boost startup growth
In line with the funding round, F10 is strengthening its investment activity by taking over the SIX Fintech Ventures team, which will continue to provide investment advice for SIX’s CHF 50 million corporate venture capital fund that invests in global startups. Moreover, F10 will provide early-stage capital to promising firms, with the first F10 Incubation fund being raised, and build a Global Investor Network, a structured Investor Relationship Management program for venture investors of all stages to invest in F10 startups directly.

Andreas Iten, CEO and co-founder of F10, commented: “Securing this round of funding is the next step in our growth journey to drive innovation in the financial industry globally. We could not be more excited about the current and new investors supporting F10 in achieving this, including expanding our reach geographically and creating a seed fund to invest in startups in our ecosystem to drive their growth. I would also like to thank SIX, one of our founding partners, for their support to F10, and I’m looking forward to continuing the close collaboration.”
