Four Swiss startups win global awards

The Urban Land Institute (ULI), Europe-wide multidisciplinary real estate forum, organizes an annual Innovation Challenge with the purpose of identifying innovators with game-changing technologies. The targeted sectors are real estate, construction, energy, transport, materials, manufacturing, consumer, health, education, and agriculture. The Swiss startup ShareP, this year’s winner of the Swiss category, developed an innovative plug-and-play parking system digitalizing existing parking infrastructure through an app. They will represent Switzerland in Copenhagen this year at the ULI C Change Summit on 11 October.

Beyond Scroll - "Best Pitch" Award at the Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest, Switzerland
The first edition of the Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest, which recognizes the best Swiss start-ups in the field of intelligent energy use, rewarded cleantech startup Beyond Scroll with its price for “Best Pitch” on September 1^st in Sion- Valais. The EPFL spin-off, which won CHF 15'000 for their excellent pitch, develops the innovative oil-free scroll compressor technology with the vision of a greener and more efficient energy future.

Syntheticus - Sample Vendor for Synthetic HCLS Data by Gartner, USA
This year, the US technological research and consulting firm Gartner recognized digital health startup Syntheticus as a Sample Vendor for Synthetic Data for Healthcare and Life Sciences. This is a recognition for Syntheticus, emphasizing its impact on data, analytics and AI initiatives in the healthcare and life science sector. Gartner specifically lauded Syntheticus’ potential to overcome current challenges in sensitive handling of patient data. This Swiss startup, founded 2021 in Zurich, advances innovation and research in Privacy-Enhancing Technologies and is now a member of the Hype Cycle ecosystem.

MYSO Finance - 1st Edition of Keyrock’s Acceleration Program, Belgium
Keyrock, a leading digital asset market maker, selected eight web3 and fintech startups out of 200 submissions for the 1st edition of its acceleration program, organized in partnership with Tenity, an accelerator and incubator for fintech. In the next three months, each startup will receive €100k and work closely together with the Keyrock team to refine their solutions and identify long term collaboration opportunities. Among the selected is the Zug-based startup MYSO Finance. Founded in 2022, the startup provides a better way to borrow and lend in DeFi.

MYNERVA – 1^st Place Winner of Falling Walls Lab 2023, Switzerland
The Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition, networking forum, and stepping stone for student and young professionals with diverse backgrounds. It provides a stage for innovative ideas and businesses such as MYNERA, a Zurich based medtech startup, which won this year’s first prize in Switzerland. MYNERVA is a wearable neuro-robotic technology solution for diabetic neuropathy. Greta Preatoni, CEO of MYNERVA, will represent Switzerland at the Falling Walls Lab final in Berlin on 7 November 2023.
