Green Motion: Agreement with the Norwegian Company ECOHZ

With a view to responsible growth Green Motion, Swiss leader in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, has agreed with the Norwegian company ECOHZ to provide renewable electricity certificates to its customers. All Green Motion charging stations will now be sold with Guarantees of Origin certificates from ECOHZ corresponding to the stations potential of annual electricity consumption.

The origin of the power is a sensitive topic in the field of e-mobility, Green Motion of Lausanne wishes to assume its responsibilities as provider of charging infrastructure, and work with the European leader for documented renewable power (Guarantees of Origin), the Norwegian company ECOHZ. All Green Motion charging stations will now be sold with a quantity of Guarantees of Origin certificates, supplied by ECOHZ, corresponding to the potential consumption of the charging equipment.

Green Motion customers pay for this assurance as part of a package calculated on the basis of the consumption potential of their type of charging station. This amount will be included in the annual license fee of the terminals. The package will be renewed annually guaranteeing that each year of the operational life of the terminal renewable electricity is supplied to the vehicles using the charging terminal. Existing customers of Green Motion will be offered to include Guarantees of Origin certificates to their original terminals from 1 January 2013.
