Impact Hub Zürich and Novartis International AG are again looking for the best and most innovative ideas that provide sustainable solutions that promote, support and/or help implement healthy lifestyles in Switzerland.  Start-ups can apply for an Impact Hub Fellowship until October 10. The winner receive incubation support including up to CHF 34’000, a workspace, coaching and network support.

Industrial societies are aging fast. As the generation of baby boomers is getting older, the number of people in Switzerland above the age of 60 is expected to rise sharply within the next decade. That is why the Impact Hub Fellowship on Healthy Living focuses especially on finding answers that meet the increasing challenges of the demographic change which will deeply affect the Swiss society. The biggest and most tangible changes are expected to affect lifestyles and healthcare. To address these numerous and complex challenges, new entrepreneurial ideas are necessary. The Impact Hub Zurich and Novartis are looking for ideas that could help address one or all of the following aspects:

  • Promote health and wellbeing of the Swiss society as a whole
  • Help people to develop and sustainably embrace healthy lifestyles
  • Empower elderly people to organize their life autonomously

After a successful edition in 2013, the program has been launched for a second round. In November a diverse jury will select 3 start-ups for the intensive 3-month cohort phase of the program including support worth CHF 10'000. In spring 2015 one of these projects will be chosen as Impact Hub Fellow on Healthy Living and receive 9 additional months of support.

Application deadline is 10 October. More information on the website of Impact Hub Zurich.
