International recognition for two Swiss startups

Algorized and Wyth, two startups based in Vaud and Ticino will be taking part in TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 2023, one of the world’s most preeminent startup competitions. Selected among thousands of applicants, both companies will be among the 200 startups set to pitch in front of investors and TechCrunch editors in San Francisco, a major recognition.

Cutting-edge AI sensing to save passenger lives

Algorized, an Etoy based Vaud deeptech providing advanced sensing and perception solutions, is one of the two Swiss startup that have been chosen to exhibit at TechCrunch Disrupt 2023 as part of the Startup Battlefield 200 cohort.

Led by seasoned entrepreneur Natalya Lopareva, Algorized, is on a mission to protect people’s lives. The startup builds spatial awareness systems capable to analyze any environment, presence of people their vitals such as breathing and heart-rate without wearables in challenging environments, even though the walls, in a fraction of a second. Its algorithms are running on the edge and are chip-agnostic, meaning the company can work with almost any radio sensor. Today, the startup is working with almost every UWB Radar chipset.

Algorized is currently rolling out its first features for passenger monitoring in vehicles, a USD 150 billion market addressing regulations and safety targets by 2025. Founded 8 months ago, the ARHUB spin-off has been delivering paid pilots to the largest automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.

Wyth experience creation platform gets recognized

Lugano based Wyth is the second Swiss startup chosen to exhibit at TechCrunch Disrupt 2023 as part of Startup Battlefield 200. The startup’s experience creation platform enables event organisers in a few simple steps to bring their digital private community to life, connect all audiences with their organization, and keep them engaged with meaningful experiences. Wyth also enables companies to activate and support new business models for private communities and events, with specific solutions dedicated to distributed enterprises, education, entertainment and institutions.

Wyth was founded in June 2020 in Lugano by Italian co-founders Samuele Franzini and Mattia Bloise. As of 2022, the company successfully raised CHF 1.7M from Privilege Ventures, Dart Lab, Gentian Investments, DAA Capital Partners, and Dario Caleffi with the aim of exploring and deeply understanding the needs of large companies and developing an effective long-term solution for them. Wyth now offers new investment opportunities to start operations in the United States by the end of 2023.

TechCrunch Disrupt 2023 will be held from Tuesday, September 19 to Thursday, September 21 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The event is known for debuting the hottest startups, introducing game-changing technologies and discussing what is top-of-mind for the tech industry’s key innovators and this year will be no different. Past companies launched at Disrupt include Dropbox, Mint, Cloudflare, Fitbit, Yammer and more.
