42matters was able to close a financing round with Berlin-based company builder Project A Ventures joining the existing Austrian investor Gamma Capital. The Swiss pioneer in mobile app discovery can now launch into the year 2014 with a number of new products and services.

For the first time 42matters also expands to the world of iOS with its new app discovery application Playboard for iOS and a relaunch of the website www.playboard.me. The app and the website now also allow iPhone users to discover interesting apps by creating and following custom channels of apps about certain topics created by experts and other users. Playboard for Android is already a very popular and highly rated app among Android users.
42matters is also announcing the launch of an App Promotion Network for Android apps based on its app recommendation expertise. This unique ad network uses an advanced app recommendation algorithm to target app promotions to the users who are most likely to install the app given their profile, thus garnering high install rates.

Developers can also use the recently reworked Apps API to access data about mobile apps and search for them too. Currently the service is available for Android and is used by companies like Orange, and Boingo.

With the recently launched App Discovery Suite 42matters is offering its app recommendation platform as a white label solution to carriers and media companies. ProSiebenSat.1 Games successfully uses the App Discovery Suite to power mobile game recommendations and is already seeing impressive adoption rates and ratings in Germany.

In the course of these developments 42matters AG has secured a 7-digit Series A round of funding with Berlin-based company builder Project A Ventures joining the existing Austrian investor Gamma Capital earlier this year to expand its product offering and further develop its app recommendation technology.
