Artanim Interactive is looking for seed funding for its RV technology. RV will be presented this summer in Los Angeles at SIGGRAPH 2015, the leading conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Artanim Interactive (AI) is launching a seeding round to bring its Real Virtuality (RV) technology to market. RV combines a Virtual Reality (VR) headset with a motion capture system allowing players to walk and interact with objects in the 3D world, just as in real life. This ground-breaking technology is the result of fundamental research undertaken over the last four years by the Artanim Foundation, of which AI is a spin-off.

RV will be presented this summer in Los Angeles at SIGGRAPH 2015, the leading conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques. The demo ‘Real Virtuality’ was selected as one of the three finalists for the Immersive Realities (AR/VR) contest. Artanim foundation’s team will be in Los Angeles from 9-13 August to present the project with the support of Pro Helvetia. The best demo will be chosen by the public and the winner announced during Real-time Live.

Geneva-based AI is in advanced discussions with major theme parks in the Europe and the Middle East, and is seeking seed funding to complete the development and build a pilot installation. RV was recently featured in Wired among others and the installation can be experienced at Artanim’s premises in Geneva.
