The 13th CTI Medtech Event will take place on 8 September in Bern. Three projects for the CTI Swiss Medtech Award 2015 have been nominated. Three young companies are industry partners of the projects.

The CTI Medtech Event 2015 will be a platform for connecting people: networking, debating and exchanging ideas – or even generating new ones. Participants will receive information on innovative technologies, interesting projects, new products and future-oriented services.

The high point of the event is the presentation of the CTI Swiss Medtech Award, worth CHF 15 000, to a medtech project selected by the specialist audience. There is also an award for the best poster.

The nominated projects for the award are:

1) Tissue bioprinting for compound evaluation Ursula Graf-Hausner, ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Marc Thurner, regenHU SA

2) S4L-CAPITALIS – In Silico Analysis and Optimization of Neurovascular and Neurological Devices and Treatments in the Head Niels Kuster, ETH Zürich – IT’IS Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society and Lars Bomholt, ZMT Zurich Medtech AG

3) Development of an Optimised Laser Head for Contact-Free Laser Osteotomy with realtime automatic Depth Control for increased safety Philippe Cattin, University of Basel – Department of Biomedical Engineering and Alfredo E. Bruno, AOT AG

Other highlights of the event are the key note by Mauro Dell’Ambrogio State Secretary for education, research and innovation and the poster session. During the event, the CTI project teams can present their projects on posters displayed in the spacious and light-filled panorama foyer of the Kursaal in Bern. They can also showcase tangible results or prototypes of their research at exhibition stands. It is still possible to register for the poster session.

In addition the CTI Medtech Event provides a great networking opportunity. From mid-August, participants will be able to use the DotPlus event tool to view the list of participants and contact other participants and CTI experts directly via e-mail.
