Particpants Hack Zurich 2015

A Hackathon is a 48-hours event that challenges young programmers, designers, tech-fans and code makers to find ideas and create projects in accordance with the prevailing topic. This year Tipiù is organising the second “Hack the City” hackathon in Chiasso from 26th to 28th August 2016 and Hack Zurich the third Hackathon from 16th to 18 September2016. Registration is now open.

Hack Zurich episode 3
HackZurich is Europe’s biggest Hackathon and since 2016 part of the Digital Festival. During four days makers and code shakers, tech fans and innovative startups from around the world come together to create an ecosystem of coding sessions, labs, workshops, parties and chill-outs.

At the HackZurich event participants will create teams comprising of minimum two people and a maximum of four. They will work together to create ideas – the ideas must be new and established during the Hackathon. Any codes written prior to the event will be invalid. For non-programmers, organisers of the event have organised workshops and invited experts to teach and inspire them. Each team will pitch their idea to the crowd and the best project will be awarded.

HackZurich is now officially accepting applications for the third edition of the 40 hours non-stop hacking marathon. The event will take place from Friday, 16th September to Sunday, 18th September 2016 in Technopark Zurich.

Hack the City episode 2
Following the success of the first edition of Hack the city in 2015, Tipiù is organising the 2nd edition of the Ticino’s hackathon dedicated to developers, designers and makers. Participants will have the opportunity to create ideas and make them happen during the 48 non-stop hours programming marathon. Participants in the marathon do not have to be coding or design experts. The only requirement is to bring ideas that can turn into viable solutions to everyday real problems. Developers, designers and entrepreneurs will work together with participants assist them to bring their projects to life. Upon successful completion, the project will be eligible for the prizes assigned by the panel of experts. The best project will be awarded a cash prize worth CHF 10’000.

Hack the City begins at 6PM on Friday, 26 August 2016 and ends at 8PM on Sunday, 28 August 2016. The event will takpe place in “Piazza Indipendenza”, Chiasso. Registration is now open.
