SwissECS Bühne

With 800 participants, the Swiss Energy and Climate Summit (SwissECS) is Switzerland’s leading conference for energy and climate issues. Highlight of the 2017 edition is a keynote by Ban Ki-moon. Start-ups have the opportunity to pitch on the main stage and to present their solution at the Expo Zone.

It is not only politics and society, but also companies, in particular, along with their technological developments that have a great deal of influence on what the future energy supply and thus our climate, will look like in the future. If all stakeholders take joint action and are willing to try something new, we will have a bright energy future ahead of us. Now is the time to take advantage of the opportunities available and to actively drive forwards the transition to a new, sustainable approach to energy.

This is why the theme of the Swiss Energy and Climate Summit 2017 is “BOOST – The future of energy as opportunity”. The focus is on the will to change and innovation, and faith in the company’s power. Not only will questions be posed and challenges discussed at this year’s instalment of Switzerland’s leading energy and climate conference but clear answers, strategies and visions will be presented. The 11th addition of the Swiss Energy and Climate Summit will be held from 20 / 21 September 2017 in Berne.

Highlights include keynotes by Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General 2007 – 2016, and Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 2010-2016. EPFL President Martin Vetterli and Christian Waldvogel, Managing Partner Renaissance Foundation & Management, participate in a panel discussion about the question why there is virtually no growth of export markets for green technology.

Start-ups have two opportunities to present innovate solutions at the conference.
