Companies with a Full Pitch:

3Brain: Since 2011, 3Brain manufacturers and distributes the first commercial large scale high resolution Microelectrode Array platform for in-vitro electrophysiology based on active CMOS circuits. The capability to spatially and temporally resolve extracellular signals over a large field of view makes 3Brain’s BioCAM platform a unique experimental tool to image spiking, bursting and field potential activities in networks of cultured neurons, in acute preparations of brain tissue or other electrogenic cell cultures such as cardiac tissue preparations.

Aspivix: The three founders of Aspivix have together more than 25 years MedTech business and medical experience. Their product, a surgical instrument, is stunningly simple but effective, patented and has received very favourable responses in customer surveys amongst gynaecologists and mid-wives.

Ava: The company is working on “the future of birth control” – a market worth USD 26 billion. It has a very experienced team too. The track records includes succesful market entries, production ramp-ups, and more than 15 MCHF of raised venture funding.

CashSentinel: CashSentinel is an escrow service aimed at improving security for people buying and selling used cars. Large sums of money can be transferred securely via mobile phone. Buyers and sellers approve the transaction simultaneously, thereby eliminating the risks associated with making advance payments or carrying large amounts of cash in your pocket

Insightness: The Silicon Eye Technology of Insightness allows fast and efficient visual perception of the environment. The vision systems recognize characteristic landmarks (keypoints) and track their position within a few milliseconds and on a small power budget. This fast and low-power vision system can be employed in different areas such as Mobile Robotics, Augmented Reality Glasses or Virtual Reality Glasses.

MilliPay: MilliPay is a service provider for micropayment-systems. The milliPay payment system can be utilised anywhere on the internet. Existing websites can be equipped with milliPay One-Click-Pay links; no modifications to the CMS are necessary. Additionally, the milliPay system can be integrated into any game or any online application. Micro-sums are also transferred in real time securely, anonymously and cost-efficient.

Oviva: The solution of Oviva enables its users to lose weight and live healthier with professional nutrition counseling. A personal coach, a qualified dietitian, provides users with daily motivation and assistance based on an app. Coaches can support their clients, offer a convenient service and earn more money.

Elevator Pitches:

FemtoTools offers ultra high-precision instruments for mechanical testing and robotic handling in the micro- and nanodomains. Application fields are semiconductor technology, microsystem development, materials science, micromedicine and biotechnology. FemtoTools’ microrobotic handling and measurement instruments feature highly sensitive microforce sensing probes and force sensing microgrippers.

SWISSto12 supplies Metal Coated 3D Printed components for (sub)mm-wave signal transmission such as waveguides and complex antennas structures. After the initial success with first products Swissto12 plans to expand its sales towards microwave and millimetre-wave connectivity applications.
