Pôle Emploi (the French employment centre, which employs 50,000 civil servants) will be soon launching new services for unemployed people and Lifelike’s “job interview” simulators will be adopted to help candidates to increase their chances to get hired.

Pôle Emploi is a French governmental agency which helps unemployed people find jobs. This agency, starting from June 2015, will run a new project called “Emploi store” (Employement store) designed to support unemployed people with various kinds of services and training.

Aside from tutorials about how to write cover letters and resumes, a specific service will be deployed to help people with the “job interview”, which is a crucial step in everyone’s career. The interview is challenging because people usually are not properly prepared to behave in the best way, and they usually don’t get a real feedback from interviewers (most of the times, the “we’ll let you know” is all that they learn).

In order to support candidates and let them train on this specific task, Pôle Emploi chose the Lifelike’s “job interview” simulator, which will be deployed in collaboration with Groupe Bizness (official Lifelike’s partner for the french territory). This simulator allows people to attend a hyper realistic job interviews, where interaction happens in real-time and with human actors.

This simulated environment works as a safe test-area where people can train with a trial-and-error approach. Due to an in-depth feedback given at the end of the simulation, users progressively learn new and better ways to behave while dealing with this particular task, achieving better results.

Lifelike develops highly immersive simulations based on artificial intelligence and interactive cinema. Customers of Lifelike include E-on, Samsung and Vodafone. The company was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Chiasso.
