The swissnex Medtech and Healthcare Startup Tour India from 11-16 September 2016 opens doors to India's medtech ecosystem, connecting startups to key opinion leaders, potential local partners and customers. The swissnex India team will be in Switzerland in June to provide information about the tour and the Indian economy in general.
Medtech and Healthcare Startup Tour India is a program designed for Swiss Medtech and Healthcare startup or managing partners with a product or service targeted for the Indian market or have an interest to produce in India. Proven Medtech and Healthcare startup experts or coaches who want to learn about the Indian Medtech and Healthcare market are also invited to participate in the program. A minimum of 20 participants will be selected to participate.
During the tour participants will visit and interact with opinion leaders in the Medtech and healthcare field in Bangalore and Delhi, build relationships with potential local investors and customers. Through coaching sessions they will be able to adapt their business model, product or service to the Indian market. A critical analysis of the different market entry possibilities will be carried out in order to gain a solid understanding of India’s Medtech opportunities and ecosystem.
Participation is free of charge. Swissnex India and the local partners will provide for content, food, local transport and site visits during the official tour; however participants are responsible for organising and funding their flights, accommodation and insurance. CTI startups may be eligible for a one-time travel stipend from the Gebert Rüf Stiftung for up to 2 people.
Swissnex India Team in Switzerland
Swissnex India will be present at the Swiss Medtech Day in Switzerland on 7th June 2016 to provide Swiss Medtech startups with information regading starting up in India. The team will also be in Basel, Zurich, Bern and Lausanne from 6th to 10th June. Medtech startups interested in learning about market entry in India as well as doing business in India are requested to schedule an appointment. Dr Balz Strasser, CEO of swissnex India and Medtech expert Dr Swetha Suresh, Manager startup services at swissnex India will answer their questions.
Registration closes on July 31 2016.
The selected participants will set off and arrive in Bangalore on 10 September 2016. The Tour will follow on 11-16 September 2016.
