Modum joins forces with Sarna Plastec

Modum is dedicated to addressing some of the pressing challenges in the supply chain industry such as collecting digital data and monitoring relevant events in the physical world, automating business processes and optimizing the supply chain based on trusted insights and predictions. The startup offers next-generation solutions for supply chain intelligence and automation, creating digital ecosystems powered by IoT sensing and Blockchain technology for a wide range of applications related to sensitive goods in various industries.

After the launch of its blockchain-secured supply chain automation solution with its partners Post and SAP, Modum has entered a collaboration with Sarna Plastec AG, an innovative Swiss company that specializes in foam packaging and foil technology and offers customized products ranging from vaccine transport boxes, industrial packaging, thermal hoods, bellows, air cushions, and airbeds.

Through this partnership, the two companies will work on developing a new packaging solution (thermo-boxes) for the transport of sensitive goods such as pharmaceuticals based on Modum’s solution. As expressed in Modum’s LinkedIn post, the cold packs used are based on a new patent and have a much higher performance.
