The creative industries event, X Media Lab (XML) is calling for projects. The event will be held for the first time in Switzerland on 15 and 16 September. The Swiss entrepreneurs from the Museeka platform participated in X Media Lab in Bath (UK) earlier this year and gained access to investment and distribution partners.

XML is an intensive one-day conference followed by a two-day creative ideas and mentoring workshop for selected teams to develop their own projects and ideas with one-on-one assistance from some of the world’s best digital media and participation culture experts. The event will be held for the first time in Switzerland in Basel from 14 to 16 September.

The event is offering 16 Swiss teams the opportunity to develop their own projects and ideas with one-on-one assistance from some of the world’s best digital media and participation culture experts. Teams of 2 – 5 people with the ability to talk about the creative, digital and financial aspects of a project or idea can be nominated now.  At least one team member must be Swiss or live in Switzerland. Nominations are open until September 7: http://www.xmedialab.com/project-application

The Swiss entrepreneurs from the Museeka platform participated in X Media Lab in Bath (UK) earlier this year. Lars Farnstrom, one of the founders, said: "XML was a unique experience". Thanks to the contacts at the networking event the entrepreneurs from Lausanne gained access to investment and distribution partners that enabled them to reach out for Far East markets. Besides that the presentations to the mentors was invaluable practice for future venture capital pitches. The mentors gave helpful feedbacks regarding their technology infrastructure, product design and business model.
