Pryv has started as a personal logbook for the digital life. Now the start-up will focus on a B2B business model offering solutions to health organisations. However the Pryv service will continue to run.

Over the past few months, Pryv has been getting hints of opportunities in using the Pryv platform for businesses, particularly in the health sector where its privacy-first, user-centered design makes a lot of sense. At the same time, the team came to acknowledge that they would not be able to develop their user product as initially expected. “To achieve our ambitions and launch a full-featured offer, we need significantly more resources that are still missing so far”, writes the Pry team in a blog post.

Pryv thus decided to adjust the strategy, and focus on providing Pryv as a platform and service to health organisations.

Importantly, pursuing this new business opportunity will allow the start-up to continue supporting and evolving Pryv for the users. The Pryv service will continue to run, with registration open to everyone, and in a couple of weeks updates to both web and iOS apps will be published.

Pryv provides medtech and connected health organizations with customizable solutions enabling people to track personal and health metrics outside of medical institutions, in their daily life, while still receiving critical monitoring and care.

The Pryv platform supports projects with an interoperable and flexible back-end, including medical-grade storage built to fit varying legal environments. Several solutions are possible e.g. white label, shared hosting.
