Seven Swiss startups will pitch at Web Summit

Web Summit, held in Dublin, is a very large tech event with 20,000+ attendees. The Web Summit team selected 200 start-ups out of 1500 applicants for pitching at the conference. Seven companies from Switzerland are on the list.

In autumn of 2010 Web Summit began as an informal meet-up of 450 members of the tech community in Dublin. In 2013, 10,242 attendees came from all over the globe including business leaders from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Box and over 60% of the Fortune 500. Within three years Web Summit has become an influential and international tech event in Europe. The Web Summit 2013 showcased 250+ world renowned speakers, 1,000 exhibitors, 100 satellite events and the opening of the Nasdaq market live on stage. Dublin will again become the international tech capital for three days this November.

The PITCH program at Web Summit is open to any start-up that has received under $3 million in funding to date and has not had a discernible change in business model in the previous 3 years. The selected top 200 start-ups will get to present in front of distinguished investor panels, influential media, and thousands of attendees. Start-ups will battle it out across 3 days for a chance to present on the Main Stage and be crowned "Winner of PITCH 2014".

NEEO is a swiss start-up company focusing on usability in the area of home automation and the internet of things (IoT). The market launch of NEEO’s own products is scheduled for 2015.

Established in 2012 with its headquarters in Chiasso, Switzerland, Sailogy aims to make the experience of booking a Mediterranean sailing holiday simple, enjoyable, and just as fun as the vacation itself.

EveryCook is a cooking device that takes in raw food and processes it into a finished meal. The device connects to an online recipe database to provide the user with a large choice of meal options and it links to his smartphone to guide him through all process steps that require manual action.
