Prix Strategis 2024 Semi-finalists unveiled

On November 28th, the Prix Strategis Jury selected its 8 semi-finalists for the ongoing edition. The startups in competition were judged on the basis of the quality of their innovation, their growth potential and operational management. To support sustainability, a new distinction, the "Prix Durabilité" will be awarded at the closing ceremony on May 22nd 2024 . 

The Prix Strategis semi-finalist startups were selected by the Jury at its first meeting meeting on Tuesday November 28. They were judged on criteria of quality of innovation, growth potential growth potential and operational management. The eight semi-finalists for the Prix Strategis 2024 are:

  • Testmate Health: low-cost, easy-to-use urine test for STIs
  • Tide Ocean: is a startup collecting 100% ocean-bound plastic and turning it into a valuable raw material.
  • B-RayZ: the UZH spinoff is developing a unique AI-based platform supporting radiologists in the early detection of breast cancer.
  • Impossible Materials: transforms cellulose into functional ingredients,
  • TissueLabs: biofabrication recreating tissue microenvironments,
  • HeroSupport: breast immobilization solution improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of medical treatments,
  • TERA Technologies: democratizing light electric vehicles by offering unlimited autonomy,
  • Virtuosis AI: Virtuosis enhances team collaboration and well-being at work with their privacy-focused AI that analyzes the voice and provides real-time feedback about communication. It replaces self-reports and manual input with automated measurements.

A new distinction to support sustainability

For its 31st edition, the Prix Strategis is pleased to unveil a new distinction, the Prix Durabilité, which will be awarded at the final ceremony on May 22, 2024, in in partnership with B-Lab Switzerland. Given the growing urgency of the climate challenge, the Prix Strategis considers it essential to reward innovations that aim to solve part of the environmental problem. environmental problems. As a result, the start-up with the highest impact rating will have the opportunity to participate in the Swiss Triple Impact program, which helps companies to develop a tailor-made sustainability strategy.

The winning start-up will be unveiled at the closing ceremony on May 22, 2024, at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. But before that, several stages are planned, the next being the one that gives the Prix Strategis its originality! Students from HEC Lausanne will participate in the selection process of the five finalist start-ups, adding a different point of view and a truly innovative aspect to the competition. Every year, the Prix Strategis rewards the best start-up in Switzerland, not only with the sum of CHF 50,000, but also with increased visibility and the opportunity to put a project before the prize Jury, made up of renowned experts and personalities from the Swiss entrepreneurial landscape.
