Thrive With Mentoring and Impact Hub Basel are launching EmpowHER, a new support program to bolster female entrepreneurship. During six months, selected participants will receive training to boost their resilience, self-development and provide access to Switzerland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Registration is still open.

EmpowHER supports early-stage impact-driven founders with the knowledge, skills, and personal development to drive societal change and promote sustainable female-founded ventures in the Basel region and beyond. With the inner and outer journey at the core, the program aims to help female entrepreneurs strengthen their “entrepreneurship muscles” while addressing their internal limiting beliefs, fears and confidence to tackle commonly experienced obstacles and challenges that get in the way of their startup journey.

The EmpowHER Inner & Outer journey consists of 12 experts sessions. The inner journey addresses the challenges that impact the mindset of female founders. Sessions in this section cover topics such as Know Thyself, Personal Branding Canvas, Habits that Keep Women Stuck, Little Voice Mastery, Difficult Conversations and Immunity To Change. The outer journey relates to the structural and operational aspects of starting a business. During the session., attendees will cover the topics on Drive, Purpose and Passion, Create Impact with Your Idea, Business Canvas Model, Brand Story & Communication, Financial Readiness and Growth Strategy.

Besides mentoring, EmpowHER offers three in-person events to support learning, exposure to industry keynote speakers and a platform for founders to network with their peers, mentors and experts. The program culminates in a graduation ceremony where attendees will pitch their solutions to the audience.

Eligibility
Eligible to apply are impact-driven, women-led founders with solutions from all sectors. Their startup must be based in Switzerland with a solution that aligns with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of motivation and commitment to a minimum of 5 hrs/ per week to drive their business idea forward. The inaugural program will select 16 founders and offers two scholarship placements (50% of the participant fee). Interested founders are invited to submit their applications until 8 October 2021.

Founded by the Thrive With Mentoring and Impact Bub Basel, EmpowHER is supported and funded by The Arcas foundation, which supports female founders in Switzerland.
