9T Labs, Loft Dynamics and Voliro have partnered with aviation and UAV companies to help drive innovation. Their solutions will enable the development of light-weight air cafts, research and development and operational excellence at their counterparts’ facilities. For Voliro, this is their first time bringing its solutions to South American markets.

Dufour Aerospace, developer of efficient and ecological aircraft for patient and passenger transport, logistics and public safety, has selected 9T Labs as a supplier for structural composite connectors such as brackets and hinges of Aero2, an uncrewed tilt-wing aerial vehicle specifically designed for the transportation of critical cargo such as medical supplies of up to 40 kilograms/88 pounds in medium to long range distances. Using parts manufactured with innovative additive manufacturing equipment and advanced post-processing technology helps Dufour Aerospace further reduce the weight of the Aero2.

9T Labs offers its Red Series Additive Fusion Technology (AFT), an all-in-one solution to help customers reduce their carbon footprint with environmentally friendly materials and processes that eliminate waste and minimize the use of resources. 9T Labs’ software as a service suite, powered by integrated FEA simulation tools, allows quick turnaround of highly optimized designs.

Loft Simulator installed in FAA Innovation Hub h
Loft Dynamics provides pilots with virtual reality (VR) flight simulation devices worldwide, thus effectively reducing air time training among European operators, improving training safety, bridging the pilot skill gap, and helping reduce in-flight carbon emissions. The startup has now inked a partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is currently evaluating its simulators – these were the first and only VR flight simulators to obtain regulatory approval in Europe.

In line with their partnership, the FAA has selected Loft Dynamics’ Airbus H125 and Robinson R22 simulators to explore, for the first time, the use of VR flight simulation technology to expand pilot training and conduct critical safety research. Both simulators have been installed at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WHTC), the FAA’s innovation hub, where they will be used to advance national aviation safety, efficiency, capacity, and environmental sustainability goals and to drive the evolution of the National Airspace System (NAS) toward the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). The unique features and capabilities of Loft Dynamics’ simulators allow the FAA to perform the research and development required to enhance vertical flight safety, pursue qualification under 14 CFR part 60, and advance NextGen goals.

Voliro wins first customer in South America
The T drone by Voliro combines omnidirectional capabilities with the ability to exert significant force and torque on structures, opening up new dimensions of maneuverability in any orientation, height, or location. One of the main differentials of these drones is their removable sensors, with four options available to meet the various measurement needs. The startup has joined forces with Group DR1, a Brazil-based UAV (drones) services provider for the Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy markets, to provide them with a new approach to conducting air inspections and addressing operations challenges. This partnership also marks a significant point in the import and operation of the first unit of Voliro in Latin America.
