Following their fruitful collaboration, Homburger, a leading Swiss business law firm, has deployed DeepJudge’s Knowledge Search as its enterprise search engine. The platform enables legal professionals to find and navigate their firm’s collective knowledge using natural language.

DeepJudge developed a first-of-its-kind Knowledge Search for effortless knowledge retrieval experience at law firms. Powered by the company’s proprietary Colinear technology, the search engine blends the capabilities of semantic and keyword search, allowing it to understand the content within each document regardless of document type, and enables legal professionals to search in their own words without struggling to find the perfect keywords. Additionally, each document is automatically classified into an extensive taxonomy for easy filtering, and AI-predicted tags enrich existing metadata. The tool can be automatically integrated with the DMS, including iManage Work via a secure single sign-on, and all native ethical walls and access permissions are maintained. Data privacy is paramount, whether deployed on-premise or in a safe cloud environment.

Over the last year, the DeepJudge team collaborated with Homburger to shape the product as part of a pilot project. Founded in 1957, Homberger is one of the leading Swiss business law firms, with 39 partners and over 150 professionals. Following the successful pilot, the two firms will further strengthen their relationship, in which Homburger will become a customer of DeepJugde.

“For many years, we’ve been looking for a search engine that allows us to reuse our internal knowledge effectively. With DeepJudge’s Knowledge Search, we have found an excellent solution that can navigate millions of internal documents intuitively with natural language, which relieves us from hours of identifying and retrieving relevant information using slow and error-prone keyword searches. We are also working with DeepJudge to develop trustable generative models by using Knowledge Search as a foundation,” said David Oser, Partner in M&A at Homburger.
