Prix Strategis Award Ceremony

Five startups offering solutions in the foodtech, medtech, and cleantech sectors have remained race for the edition of the Prix Strategis prize. Organised for the 29th time, the award ceremony takes place on May 18, 2022, at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne to recognise the winner.

Prix Strategis is an annual startup competition offering the winner a cash prize of CHF 50000, publicity and the chance to present their project to a jury of renowned experts and personalities from the Swiss entrepreneurial landscape. Out of 75 candidate applications, eight made it to the semi-finals now five will proceed to the last stage, thanks to their quality of innovation, growth potential, operational management, and impact.

During the award ceremony, the finalists will pitch to the audience and the jury who will select the winner. The audience will also participate in a public voting to select the startup for La Mobilière Audience Award. The startup with the majority votes will receive the Audience Award and 5,000 Swiss francs.

The five finalists are:

Agrinorm – smart quality management for fresh products
Fresh fruits suppliers worldwide lose billions in product rejections, price renegotiations, and food waste. Agrinorm leverages the latest machine learning techniques to optimise fruit and vegetable supply chains. Its platform allows suppliers to evaluate the quality of fresh produce and achieve price leadership while reducing environmental impact.

Perovskia Solar – customisable perovskite solar cells
The cleantech startup provides digitally printed customizable solar cells to OEMs. The startup’s solar cells are tailored to seamlessly integrate into electronic devices, IoT & sensors, which offers breakthrough performance at disruptive costs.

ExerGo – compact, efficient, and cost-effective urban energy grid technology
Based in Sion, Exergo is developing smart heating and cooling low-temperature thermal network that saves 85% of energy and 90% of CO2 emissions compared to traditional fossil fuel-based systems. Focusing on utilities and real estate developers, its solution allows the exchange of heat waste between buildings and provides an efficient district heating and cooling network.

CompPair – Curable and sustainable composite solutions
To reduce materials waste by extending the lifetime of composite products, the start-up has developed a self-healing and robust composite applicable in a range of industries from sports, marine to wind and transport. Thanks to its lightness, the composite helps to reduce weight and thus energy consumption.

Artiria Medical – new standard of care for strokes
The EPFL spinoff developed a medical device that enables stroke surgeons to navigate brain arteries with unprecedented speed and efficacy. The solution, which aims to prevent arterial constriction following hemorrhagic stroke, will help more than 80 million people living with long-term impairments following a stroke.
