Three aspiring startups secure capital from the Wingman campus Fund

The Wingman Campus Fund (WCF) offers selected students with potential business idea CHF 20’000 investment and access to experienced mentors to help them accelerate their development. Three new startups from two universities have received the funds. These are:

Maven Health | EPFL
The startup has built a proprietary data platform that generates artificial intelligence (AI)-driven metabolic health predictions for preventive healthcare. They deliver health analyses generated from metabolite profiles from the testing of saliva, which is non-invasive. Analysis of samples relies on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, a technology that has seen positive developments in cost reduction and predictive power in recent years. The founders, Christopher Wall and Kevin Hof, aim to empower primary healthcare providers to identify people who are at risk but have not yet been identified by the traditional healthcare system.

NyxAI | EPFL
Companies rely heavily on images of models or products to present their products, however, accessing these images can be costly and sometimes difficult to access. NyxAI is changing this by using AI to generate custom product photos in ads and e-commerce websites, removing the need for models and photoshoots. In addition to the WCF investment, the cofounders Martin Müller and Florian Laurent obtained support from the TRC program, an initiative by Google to empower researchers to implement and test their models in TPU. According to the co-founders, the program has been instrumental to their recent research on large language models (Cedille.ai) and photorealistic image generation (NyxAI). In the past 2 years, we've accumulated tens of thousands of hours of TPU training. The NyxAI's platform is now also part of Sequoia Capital's Generative AI Application Landscape.

MetaQuants | HSG
MetaQuants is the one-stop solution for valuations and risk management of NFTs with applications in trading, collateral lending and insurance. The startup’s flagship product is an NFT Evaluation Algorithm designed to provide users with accurate point estimates and price ranges of Blue Chip NFTs in real time. Additionally, it provides the MetaQuants Analytics and Risk Management platform for deep NFT insights and Collection Floor Price Oracle that utilizes sophisticated wash trading techniques to provide a highly customizable framework through which an end-user can define all variables for the calculation. In addition to two cofounders, martin Palazov and Georgi Angelchev, the startup employs four people.
