The annual conference MIPCube held in Cannes is focused on the game changing innovations impacting the future of TV. To encourage innovation in the social and connected TV ecosystem, MIPCube organises a dedicated start-up competition: MIPCube Lab. The winner 2012 is Jilion from Lausanne.

Every year MIPCube brings together the key players in the new TV ecosystem. The conference is held two days before MIPTV, the global content market for TV in all of its forms. MIPCube offers Visionary talks, showcases of latest innovations including the best from Canadian producers by Canada Media Fund, and practical workshops with experts such as Digital Commissioners Pierre-Matthieu Fortin (Radio-Canada) and Sebastien Hünerfeld (ZDF).

In addition the best TV start-ups pitch at MIPCube Lab. Dynamic companies from around the world introduce new models, apps and technological solutions to engage and monetise TV usage. The lab provides a global forum to get feedback from future-oriented decision-makers in the TV business and venture capital.

The winner of the 2012 edition is Jilion from Lausanne. The company won the award for its solution SublimeVideo. SublimeVideo is a cloud based HTML 5 video player. The biggest advantage of the player is the universal compliancy of videos no matter the browser. Videos will work in any browser and play seamlessly across every mobile platform.

For this compliancy no maintenance is necessary. SublimeVideo is a cloud-based service platform that automatically provides all its customers with the latest and most widely compatible version of SublimeVideo Player.
