Swiss companies collect CHF 180 million
A key success factor for a dynamic start-up scene is good access to venture capital. From this perspective, startupticker can report good news. A good CHF180 million in seed and growth capital has flowed into Swiss high-tech companies over the last two months. Below is a list of the largest investments this summer:
$50 million for Silent Circle: the Geneva-based start-up specialises in the mobile secure communications market.
$38 million for CRISPR Therapeutics: the biopharma company is headquartered in Basel, with its R&D operations in Cambridge, UK.
$15 million for Kandou: the EPFL spin-off specialises in SerDes technology.
CHF11 million for Chronext: the online platform for luxury watches has its headquarters in Zug.
CHF10 million for Biovotion: the Swiss-based company was founded in 2011 by experts in wearable monitoring.
CHF8 million for AOT: the medical device company from Basel is a pioneer in the field of robotic bone surgery using cold laser photoablation.
CHF6 million for Skioo: the start-up from Lausanne operates an innovative online platform for ski passes.
€5 million for Once: the dating app has offices in Schwyz and London.
$4.3 million for Flyability: the Lausanne company manufactures safe drones for inaccessible places.
CHF3 million for DEPsys: the Yverdon-based company is active in the field of smart grid solutions.
$2.5 million for BestMile: the Lausanne-based start-up specialises in software to manage driverless vehicle fleets.
CHF2.2 million for Muume, a Cham-based social mobile payment provider.
CH2.2 million for GenView: the business cockpit software editor is based at EPFL Innovation Park.
$2 million for Cyberhaven, a stealth-mode cybersecurity spin-off from EPFL.
