Life is simple!
Dear reader
Do you have your insurance under control? If not, Knip can help. The start-up has launched an app to manage insurance; it also offers users a biannual review of their finances to provide them with better tariffs and products. This week, Knip completed a financing round; its first step will be to address the Swiss market and internationalisation will follow in 2015.
DSwiss is already one step further. Thanks to a partnership with the multinational security company Prosegur, DSwiss can look forward to global expansion. The company aims to become the market leader in the field of high-security online data storage by 2016.
It is not only start-ups that are making life easier, but also event organisers. The app for CEO Day was launched today and can now be downloaded from Google Play and the AppStore. It facilitates planning of the event considerably and with the easy-to-use networking tool you can make contact with other participants on the spot, which is sensible as so far more than 500 participants have registered. The number is even more remarkable considering that this year for the first time a fee will be charged.
And health solutions have emerged too; for example, dacadoo’s mobile and web-based solution for health promotion. This week, the start-up launched a fitness-tracking competition for corporate teams from around the world.
Valais start-up Medirio has developed a product that will make the lives of diabetics more enjoyable. The system allows the management of insulin injections in an easier, more discreet and comfortable manner. Medirio was awarded the CTI Start-up Label this week, along with another medtech company medimaps and cleantech company Climeworks.
I would like to highlight some competitions that are of interest to company founders. This week, PERL 2015 (Prix Entreprendre Région Lausanne) was launched, and the Innovate4Climate competition starts on 14 October with an Ideation workshop. Start-ups should not miss the deadline of the Pionierpreis on 30 October.
Have an uncomplicated weekend.
