SelectUSA Investment Summit is an annual event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. The event unites over 2500 companies, investors and political persons with the goal to facilitate business investment. Participants from Switzerland are invited to participate. 60 Swiss delegates were part of the summit last year.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit brings together investors of all sizes, companies, including established multinationals, small or medium-sized enterprises, and high-growth start-ups from all over the world. The event will be held June 18-20, 2017 at the Gaylord Hotel, National Harbor in the Washington, D.C. area.
Due to the large diversity, the summit offers attendees an unprecedented opportunity to learn about how to grow their businesses and invest in the United States. This includes making the right connections, learning about locations, and discovering relevant resources to move their investments forward. The Summit will showcase investment opportunities from every corner of the United States, while high-profile business and government leaders share insights on the latest business trends.
60 Swiss delegates at SelectSummit 2016
At the previous SelectUSA Investment Summit, 2500 attendees from 70 foreign markets joined Ex-President Obama. Among them were over 60 company officials, seven Cabinet Secretaries, global executives and thought leaders from Switzerland. With this substantial and diverse delegation, Switzerland truly demonstrated “Klein aber Fein”. The following start-up companies from Switzerland were represented: Designergy SA, Divio AG, Flatev AG, PRECLIN Biosystems, QualySense AG, among others.
The participants used the online matchmaking system to coordinate business meetings and heard from top executives and senior federal and state officials in plenary and breakout sessions. The 2017 Summit promises to build on this experience to make doing business in the United States even easier for the participants.
