Ascento Guard at Bildungscampus

Ascento Guard, a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) solution for autonomous outdoor security patrolling has been deployed at the Bildungscampus in Heilbronn, marking the first international operation.

In November 2022, Ascento introduced its four-legged robotic solution for outdoor patrolling, empowering the security industry to curb labour shortage, a challenge hindering adequate patrol coverage and prompt response to incidents. Ascento Guard, the startup’s flagship product, was designed to patrol large outdoor areas such as warehouses, industrial sites, and pharmaceutical campuses, on any terrain around the clock. It can detect intruders, verify perimeter integrity, check doors and windows, record property conditions, and identify issues like floods or fires. Coupled with the company’s cloud-based support centre for mission monitoring and manual robot control, and advanced security analytics driven by AI and machine learning, Ascento offers clients a turnkey solution covering their needs.

Aiming to replicate the success in the home market in Switzerland, Ascento is off to conquer international markets. Its first customer is Bildungscampus Heilbronn of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation in Germany. Ascento Guard, named “Loomi” by the client, has been patrolling the Bildungscampus several times a day since the beginning of this year, allowing the customer to automate facility management. Putting privacy first, Loomi operates without collecting recognizable information from people, yet capturing events like cars outside allowed parking areas, open doors that should be closed, and more.

The next phase will see Ascento continue strengthening its position in Germany by growing its customer base while expanding its reach to other countries, particularly in the Benelux region.
