Swiss-Canadian Innovation Fest: Call for Swiss cleantechs

The Swiss Innovation Fest Vancouver aims to highlight Western Canada and Swiss innovations in the field of cleantech and bring together audiences from the fields of science, technology, industry, startup, higher education, government, and the arts.

The event will also provide the platform to enhance existing business and science collaborations and encourage future international collaborations – several discussions, networking gatherings, film screenings, and exhibitions have been organised to foster relationship building.

With 250 visitors in 2022, the event this year allows Swiss cleantech startups to participate virtually to showcase their solutions to key players in the climate innovation sector. A minimum of five startups will be selected for the pitch workshop (Session 2) while Sessions 1 and 3

Eligible to apply are Swiss cleantech startups and SMEs at any stage particularly those that are scaling in the foreseeable future, targeting the Canadian/North American market. The companies’ solutions should be scalable and large enough to be of interest to international and Canadian investors.

Selected startups and SMEs will participate in all three sessions of the series, and at least five will attend the pitch workshop (session 2).  The general audience is invited to join the Canadian Cleantech Market Masterclass (Session 1) and Pitch Competition (Session 3) via livestream.

Key dates

Session 1: April 9: A masterclass on the Canadian cleantech market (open to general audience)

Session 2: April 9: An interactive pitch prep workshop (open to selected startups/companies only)

Session 3: April 11: Pitch showcase and competition (open to general audience)

Participation is free and startups are encouraged to register by March 20, 2024
