225 entries from over 30 countries for Ludicious competitions

The second edition of Ludicious will take place from January 21 to 24, 2016, in Zürich, Switzerland. The highlight of the game festival will be the award ceremonies. Numerous Talks and Workshops will also be held during the festival.  

Ludicious is a networking and exchange platform for game developers. With its exhibitions, conferences and competitions, the festival will show the most innovative new games by young and upcoming studios and emerging game developers. Experienced professionals will share their knowledge and gain insights into promising new projects.

Now, that the submission deadline for the Ludicious - Zürich Game Festival competitions has passed, the second edition of the festival is starting to take shape. 121 games have been entered for the «International Competition» as well as 70 projects for the «Student Competition». The «International Competition», with the «Ludicious Award» (€8000), is aimed at game designer with an innovative new game. The «Student Competition», honors the best student prototype with the «Outstanding Talent Award» (€ 4’000). For the «SGDA Swiss Game Award», 34 Swiss games were entered. This award is presented by the Swiss Game Developers Association (SGDA).
 
The games nominated for the Ludicious awards will be exhibited at the next edition of the festival in January 2016, where the international jury will also award the prizes.

The focus of the next Ludicious edition will be networking. In addition to various events on the subject of investment and publishing, some networking events will be held. High-class speakers from various sectors of the gaming industry will share their knowledge at the Ludicious conference. Ru Weerasuriya (Ready At Dawn Studios), Brenda Romero (Loot Drop/Romero Games) and Ed Valiente (Nintendo) have already been confirmed.
