Biognosys and CELLnTEC looking for anti-aging substances

For CELLnTEC’s proprietary epidermal in vitro aging model Biognosys developed a customized MRM assay panel to follow the molecular mechanisms of aging and screen for anti-aging substances.

The proteins in the panel belong to different functional areas like protein biosynthesis, metabolism, DNA/telomere repair, proteosome, basal/progenitor cell markers, and redox/antioxidant mechanisms.

MRM allows highly specific and sensitive quantification of nearly any protein from any biological sample. Biognosys is unique in its ability to perform scheduled highly multiplexed MRM measurements. Up to 100 proteins covering dynamic range of 6 magnitudes can be quantified in a single run with high precision and reproducibility. Biognosys was founded in 2008 and is a privately held company in Zurich, Switzerland.

CELLnTEC was founded in 2002 and is based in Bern. The company specializes in the development of innovative culture media, 2D and 3D in vitro models, using the most recent insights into epithelial cell biology.
