Gert Christen leaves BlueLion

After successfully building up the BlueLion Incubator during the last 5 years, CEO Gert Christen will leave the organization at the end of November 2015 and return to California for a new challenge. Starting December 1, 2015, the daily operations of the incubator will be led by Michèle Raue.

The BlueLion Foundation is a non-profit organization founded as an initiative of the City of Zurich to incubate highpotential startup companies in the ICT and Clean Tech sectors in Zurich. BlueLion is a systematic program to incubate and accelerate high-potential startup companies. To date more than 200 projects have been screened, of which 60 were approved to enter the program. Currently 25 startups with 80 employees call the BlueLion their home.

Gert Christen has led the BlueLion Incubator from the beginning. The BlueLion Foundation has announced yesterday that he will leave the incubator and return to California for a new challenge. Starting December 1, 2015, the daily operations of the incubator will be led by Michèle Raue. The board of the foundation will announce the succession for the coaching and corporate programs of the incubator at a later stage.

The board of the BlueLion Foundation is composed of representatives from the City of Zurich, ZKB Zurich Cantonal Bank, Swisscom, ETH and University of Zurich, and Dr. Christian Wenger, chairman of the board of the foundation.
