GetYourGuide, the world’s largest online portal for tours and activities at destinations across the globe, continues to develop with a re-design and a photography project. This week the company uploaded official images for 105 tours, in 20 countries and 29 cities.

The content on the GetYourGuide portal is important for attracting visitors to the website but also for the conversion rate. The better the historic and sightseeing tours, sporting activities, museums, shows, and events are described the more visitors will book.

GetYourGuide lays considerable emphasis on the content. About a year ago the company launched its Photography Project, sending thousands of photographers around the world to begin documenting tours and activities. The goal of the project is to help activity providers make a great first impression, and ultimately get more bookings.

After collecting thousands of images, GetYourGuide uploaded the first batch of images this week. Customers will find official images for 105 tours, in 20 countries and 29 cities – all verified with a GetYourGuide watermark. With the watermark GetYourGuide confirms that these activities have been tried, tested and enjoyed by real customers.

Highlights of the first batch of images include:

In a blog post the company comments: “This is a really big milestone for GetYourGuide as we continue to grow, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the Photography Project’s first phase. Paired with GetYourGuide’s new re-design, this project is just another way we will showcase the brand values that are so important to us – that GetYourGuide is Personal, Trustworthy and Inspirational.”
