GEW Switzerland: Events all over the country

GEW Switzerland is inspired by Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), a global and annual event each November, dedicated to entrepreneurship, ecosystems and networking and matchmaking. GEW is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

During one week, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey. Large-scale competitions and networking events connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.

« Libérez-vos-idées » (Geneva): The aim of this initiative within the UNIGE is to make students aware of the opportunities offered by entrepreneurship and to provide them with tools and practical advice that will enable them to put an idea into practice, regardless of their course of study.

GEW@UNIL (Lausanne): During a whole week, students can discover exciting current topics and meet the actors of innovation in these fields. The GEW Opening Night organised by the UNIL Entrepreneurship and Innovation HUB will take place on Monday 14 November at the Vortex.

GEW Basel: The week which runs from 14 to the 18 November includes an open series of events to engage the entrepreneurial community provided by local institutions and entrepreneurs themselves. These events include hands-on sessions, meetups, a women entrepreneurship prize ceremony (POWHER Award) and input sessions. Together, this is a great opportunity to learn about the entrepreneurs of the region, brainstorm and network with like-minded people, and unlock your entrepreneurial potential.
