Good prospects
Dear reader
The Lift Conference in Geneva on digital technology and innovation is one of the most important high-tech events in Europe. President Abir Oreibi gives an insight in our interview into the direction of the next conference in February and says why the AlpICT Venture Night is one of the highlights of the event. startupticker is a media partner of Lift and offers its readers tickets at reduced prices.
From Geneva to Lausanne: last week, IMD business school published the names of the 26 winners of the IMD start-up competition. The young companies will be working with students on IMD’s MBA programmes in the coming weeks and months.
Speaking of cooperation, a team is often behind the beginning of a successful start-up, which is why students from ETH Zurich and the University of St. Gallen founded cofoundme.org. A few weeks ago, the platform underwent a relaunch and since then user numbers have multiplied.
Finally, some news of our own: the Venture Capital Report 2014 will be published at the end of January, again in collaboration with SECA and for the first time in print. The report will be presented at the two startupticker brunches on 27 January and 29 January, in Zurich and Lausanne respectively. We are happy to receive applications for the brunch at news@startupticker.ch.
The next newsletter will appear on Friday, 9 January; startupticker, of course, does not take a break and will keep you up-to-date daily.
The entire team wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
