The IMD startup competition 2020 awaits applications

The annual IMD Award is once again open for applications for the 2020 edition. Thirty startups will have the opportunity to benefit from the free-of-charge support of IMD's MBA and EMBA students in 2020. Registration closes on 11. November.

To this day, the IMD Startup Competition has supported a whole series of startups including some of today’s top innovative startups such as Flyability, BestMile, Abionic, AC Immune (public), Endosense (acquired by St.Jude), FaceShift (acquired by Apple), Agrosustain, Dacuda (acquired by MagicLeap), MindMaze, Doodle, Nexthink among others. This year alone 32 startups that underwent the IMD challenge won a spot in the Top 100 Swiss Startup Award, including four of the top 10.

In collaboration with Innosuisse, VentureKick, MassChallenge and investiere, IMD is searching for up to 30 early-stage Swiss startups that benefit from the free-of-charge support of our MBA and EMBA students in 2020. Up to 15 startups, split into teams will work with the MBA class while up to eighteen will work with three Executive MBA classes that will analyze and challenge the startup’s business plans and company strategies. The EMBA team will travel with the startups to Silicon Valley where they will make a pitch on behalf of their behalf to venture capitalists and angels September or November.

Additionally, the winners of the challenge will receive a CHF 5,000 Startup Scholarship to participate in any of IMD's online or open programs. This award was bestowed for the first time in 2018.

Startups from any industry that are interested in the program can now submit their applications until 11th November 2019.
